Watch: All-Girl Drum Corps Performs at Missouri Tartan Days 2012

St. Charles Patch will be highlighting one video from YouTube every week. It will have something to do with the St. Charles community.
This video shows the Central High School Kilties from Springfield, MO, who performed at Tartan Days. The all-girl group was started in 1926 by the Scottish-born public school music director at the time. The drum corps became known as the Kilties in 1939, according to the Kilties website.
The Kilties were among several groups who performed at , which was held in Frontier Park April 13-15. St. Louis Caledonian Pipe Band also performed along with Pictus, a group that included drums and bagpipes.
