14-Year-Old Boy Shot After Participating In Carjacking: Police

ST. LOUIS, MO — Police say a 14-year-old boy was shot after participating in a carjacking Monday afternoon. The Post-Dispatch reports that police believe the boy and another suspect stole a car in north St. Louis' Greater Ville neighborhood around 5 p.m.

The robbers approached a 70-year-old man and demanded his keys at gunpoint, police said. The man complied and was not injured.

Just half an hour later and less than a mile away, police found the 14-year-old shot in the head beside the stolen car. He was taken to a hospital where his condition isn't clear.

Police haven't released any further information or identified the second suspect.
