Innocent Person Dead After Pursuit Leads To Crash In North County
An innocent man was killed in north St. Louis County following a pursuit that ended in a crash Wednesday afternoon.

An innocent man was killed in north St. Louis County following a pursuit that ended in a crash Wednesday afternoon. Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department were pursuing a suspect wanted on charges of assault in St. Louis City when the suspect crashed into a car driven by an innocent bystander at Bellefontaine Road and Jennings Station Road. This happened just before 1:30 p.m. The driver was killed, and the passenger inside the car was critically injured. The suspect also had a passenger in their vehicle who was critically injured in the crash. The driver was unharmed and was arrested at the scene. The intersection of Bellefontaine Road and Chain of Rocks Drive is closed as police continue to investigate. Drivers should seek an alternate route.
