- LaSalle Charter School in North St. Louis will be closing its doors this year. Officials say the school will close on Jun. 30 because it no longer has charter status. The middle school said they will work with the Missouri Charter Public School Commission to find schools for the students next fall. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
- Aldina Sakanovic, 25, was sentenced to three years in prison on Thursday. A jury convicted Sakanovic of second-degree assault, armed criminal action, and resisting arrest when she fled from St. Lous police and hit a pedestrian in 2019. Sakanovic was driving a stolen SUV near St. Louis University when she hit a 20-year-old student who suffered from serious injuries. (St. Louis Post-Dispatch)
- A structure fire broke out yesterday in North St. Louis at a vacant house. The home near Belle Glade Avenue on Aldine Avenue was fully engulfed and the roof fell as a result of the fire, causing smoke to blow throughout the area. As of Friday afternoon, fire officials hadn't been able to search the home but believed no one was inside. (KTVI Fox 2 St. Louis)
