Patchers around the St. Louis area sought out examples of people who were moved to action or forever changed in some way by the events of Sept. 11, 2001 or otherwise have a tie to that tragic day. We'd love you to add your story and pictures.
Editors from across Patchland have spent a few weeks compiling stories—your stories—spurred by the events of Sept. 11, 2001. With the commemoration of the 10th anniversary coming, we know that the terrorist attacks on that day had lingering effects on all of us.
In some cases, it's a reminder of the pain. In others, it's spurred us to action. We all have a story. Here are some of the stories we found around the St. Louis area, to Arnold, from Florissant to Eureka.
