ThisΒ performance will recreate the patriotic radio shows of World War II, featuring news, music, comedy and conversation of the war years from 1941 through 1944.Β Tickets are available at the SCC websiteΒ or atΒ 636-922-8233. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for veterans, senior citizens and students and free for SCC students, faculty and staff with current ID.

Faith Ringgold "Children's Books and Story Quilts" Lecture

- What?Β World-renowned painter, writer and quilter Faith Ringgold shares stories of her art career, with a focusΒ on storytelling and the combination of image and text.Β Ringgoldβs art is exhibited all over the world, including collections in the Metropolitan Museum of Modern Art, the Guggenheim Museum and the St. Louis Art Museum.Β Her lecture is free and open to the public, but a ticket is required at the door. - What? Transfiguration Episcopal Church in Lake Saint Louis is hosting their second annual trivia night.Β Enjoy cash prizes, 50/50, raffles and silent auction. Beer and soda are included, and a cash bar is available. Guests are allowed to bring snacks. Cost is $160 for a table of eight.Β

The McNair Cross Country Classic 5K
- When/Where? Saturday, Nov. 12 at 9 a.m. atΒ ,Β 3050 Droste Rd. in St. Charles.Β
- What? The Fleet Feet Runners' Club hosts the McNair Cross Country Classic. Entry fee is $20. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers as well as the top three finishers.Β
- When/Where? Saturday, Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. at 66 VFW Ln. in St. Charles.Β
- What? ThisΒ fundraising event for the Living History Company features a catered dinner, dancing, raffles and photo opportunities with period backdrops and props.Β Costumes or period garb are encouraged but not required. A DJ will provide music, and guests will learn period dances like the waltz, polka and Charleston.Β Tickets are still available for the dance are are available online.
