Man, 82, Dies After Suffering Medical Condition Behind the Wheel

An 82-year-old Dardenne Prairie man died Tuesday afternoon after he suffered a medical condition behind the wheel of his car while driving near the intersection of Interstate 70 and Mid Rivers Mall Drive.

Eugene Johnson was driving westbound on I-70, just east of the Mid Rivers Mall Drive exit, when he suffered the medical condition, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. 

Johnson then veered off the highway and hit the right side concrete median before his car came to a stop on the right shoulder. He was pronounced dead at in at 2:02 p.m.

The medical condition that the man suffered was not immediately known.
