Man Pointed Rifle, Threatened to Shoot St. Peters Woman

St. Peters Police say Dhuruvan Krishnamurthy pointed a rifle at a woman and her friend as she got ready for a date.

A St. Peters man was accused of pointing a rifle at two women on Friday and threatening to shoot them.

Dhuruvan Krishnamurthy, 64, of the first block of Shadow Creek Drive in St. Peters, was charged with unlawful use of a weapon.

St. Peters Police said Krishnamurthy and one of the women were roommates, and he wanted a romantic relationship with her. He pointed the rifle at the woman and her friend as she got ready for a date.

Bond was set at $25,000 on the condition he turn all guns over to St. Peters Police. At a court appearance on Monday, he was released on personal recognizance.
