Modulation Z takes Gold Medal in 2017 WGI PIA World Championships!
Modulation Z PIA Gold Medal 2017 WGI World Championships, Ft. Zumwalt Students!!!!
WGI World Championships - Percussion Independent A Class Gold Medal Performance – April 21, 2017 Modulation Z (MOD Z) performed 2017 program, “What’s Out There?” in Dayton, Ohio this past weekend, finishing at the top of their class with a record-breaking score of 96.025 points.
Modulation Z placed First after preliminary, semifinal and final rounds of competition. Teams from Canada, Mississippi, North and South Carolina, Florida, Oregon, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma were in their class.
In 4 short years of competing in the World Circuit, Mod Z has won the Gold Medal for the PIA Class at the MCGGA Circuit Championships in 2014, 2016 and 2017 and were finalists at the WGI World Championships for the PIA Class placing 9th in 2015 and 4th in 2016. Modulation Z proudly received sponsorships from Sabian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, and Innovative Percussion.

Modulation Z is a winter drumline group consisting of students from Fort Zumwalt North, South and East high schools, under the direction of Ryan Treasure. It is the first and only combined competitive drumline performance group in the district. Started in 2013, Modulation Z was created for those students who did not have a winter program at their "home" schools as a means for them to participate in this fun and exciting experience.
