Police: Man Duped by Fake-Grandson in Money-Wiring Scheme

Felony Stealing

  • An unknown person called victims in the 1400 block of WestinΒ stating he was their grandson. The unknown person claimed he had an emergency and the victims wired β€œhim” money.Β  After the money was wired, it was discovered the person calling was not their grandson. It is unknown to whom the money went or where it was sent.
  • Female suspect arrested for stealing atΒ 4 Mid Rivers Mall Drive.Β 
  • The victim’s wallet stolen from gym parking lot in the 3600 block of North St. Peters Parkway. The debit card was used at another location by the unknown suspects.
