The Commuter Nightmare: How Bad Is It for St. Peters Commuters?
If you're in the 63376 area code, you're probably right at the national average for commuters.
The U.S. Census Bureau says the average commute for American drivers is between 25 and 26 minutes. If you're from St. Peters, your average commute comes in just under that.
That's according to Slate, which says it takes St. Peters drivers an average of 24.3 minutes to get to work. A map on the Slate allows readers to enter a zip code and find out the average commute from their area.
St. Charles County's averages may be affected by the lack of a public transit system, since commutes by public transit are generally longer.
