The Daily Dose: President's Day Edition

Today is President's Day. In case you're wondering why the kids are home from school and the mail didn't come, that's the reason. 

President's day used to be a big-time shut-everything-down day. Now it's a time for sales at car dealerships and at the Mall. Still, let's thank George Washington for being a great leader and having a birthday in February.

Here's the St. Peters weather outlook for today and Tuesday from the National Weather Service. 

President's Day: Sunny, with a high near 54. Southeast wind between 6 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. 

Monday night: Showers likely, mainly between 1 a.m and 4 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 40. South wind between 11 and 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. West wind between 11 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. 

Tuesday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. West wind between 6 and 10 mph.
