As parents, our greatest hope is for our children to thrive – to be happy, healthy, and resilient. We nurture their physical well-being, guide their education, and cheer them on in their passions. But what about their mental health?

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a crucial time to acknowledge the emotional and psychological well-being of our kids and teens.

  • 1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year
  • 1 in 20 U.S. adults experience serious mental illness each year
  • 1 in 6 U.S. youth aged 6-17 experience a mental health disorder each year
  • 50% of all lifetime mental illness begins by age 14, and 75% by age 24
  • Suicide is the 2nd leading cause of death among people aged 10-14

These numbers underscore the urgent need to create a supportive community where young people feel seen, heard, and know they are not alone.
