CRESTWOOD, Mo., Dec. 26 2017 – Crestwood Economic Development commissioner Ismaine Ayouaz will run in the April 2018 election for a Ward 4 seat on the city’s Board of Aldermen.
Ismaine Ayouaz, 40, is an information-technology professional at the Washington University School of Medicine. He was named a Crestwood Park Board member in June 2014 and an Economic Development commissioner in 2015. The candidate, who was born in Paris, France has been a U.S. citizen for almost three years and has been living in Crestwood for over four years.

Ayouaz said Crestwood is moving forward and is financially stronger and many more positive challenges are coming ahead; Ayouaz is excited to face these challenges . He cited many new, young families coming to Crestwood, the implementation of the City wide comprehensive plan and continued redevelopment and expansion of Crestwood’s businesses.
“I have a strong desire to represent Crestwood’s changing population on every issue that comes to the monthly agendas,” Ayouaz said. “I will listen tomand represent the many younger families moving here and also Crestwood’s many long-time residents.”
The candidate said that from now until the April election, he will be going door-to door to let Crestwood’s Ward 4 residents know about his strong desire to be their alderman and about his active involvement in the city during the past several years. In addition to attending every Board of Aldermen meeting, he has fostered neighborhood events and citizen involvement and was recently recognized by the city with an award.
“I have a fresh perspective,” Ayouaz said. “If my neighbors elect me, I will be proud to represent them; I want to use social media and other means to enhance communication with them and engage our residents on many issues. Good, local government demands both transparency and solid, two-way communication.”
Ayouaz holds a bachelor’s degree in Information System Management from the University of Evry Val d'Essonne in France. He and his family live at 8915 Rusdon Lane in Ward 4, which is located
in the southwest portion of Crestwood.
