Deer Hunting Information

Deer-hunting packets (PDF) are available online and in the City Hall Administration Department. We will accept completed applications starting August 16, 2021 for the 2021 /2022 bow hunting season.

Permits

Permits will not be issued the same day applications are submitted.
All applications will be verified with the Sunset Hills property owners and the issuer listed on the insurance certificates prior to the release of any permits.

Certificates of insurance must be submitted with Intent to Hunt forms and must show valid dates covering September 15, 2021 through January 15, 2022, or they will not be accepted. Please note an insurance declarations page is not a certificate of insurance and not an acceptable form of proof of insurance.

Please note the city does not keep a list of property owners or hunters on file for distribution.

Missouri Department of Conservation

Hunters are advised to contact the Missouri Department of Conservation if they do not have archery certification on their Heritage card. Archery certification is different than the standard hunters education class. All hunters must have archery certification to have a permit issued.
