'Bring Trader Joe's to South County' Names Gift Card Winner

Jeannie Adams won a free $50 gift card to Trader Joe's for writing a petition letter asking the company to consider opening a new location in St. Louis County.

Last week Affton resident Carol Boss, who's been heading the charge to bring a Trader Joe's grocer to South County, chose the winner of a free $50 gift card those who submitted a petition letter to the company.

The winner is Jeannie Adams, pictured here with Boss.

Boss began her efforts last fall with petition signing events, a video, an online petition and a Facebook page. Despite a petition boasting  in support of a new Trader Joe’s, the grocer has said they are not currently considering South St. Louis County for a new store (but added that they would re-consider it in their "next review").
