Crisis Nursery Opens Outreach Center in South County
Ribbon Cutting Held for Crisis Nursery's 10th Outreach Center in St. Anthony's Medical Center

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery is growing again, this time in South County! On Wednesday, August 29, 2018, the Crisis Nursery and St. Anthony’s Medical Center cut the ribbon on the 10th Crisis Nursery Outreach Center.
“Having an Outreach Center within St. Anthony’s/Mercy will benefit the South County community at large and also the patients and co-workers of the hospital,” said Kim Blackford, Parent Education Coordinator for the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery, who will be working out of the new Outreach Center. “I will be doing home visits with families all around south St. Louis County to support them in the heroic job of parenting. When stress and other factors in life build up, we want parents to know that they are never alone.”
Laura Bub, MPH, community benefits manager at St. Anthony's/Mercy, said, “We saw a recurring theme arise around a need for services for children and families. Coupled with the fact that access to care is one of our top priorities identified through our Community Health Needs Assessment, we knew that partnering with the Crisis Nursery and making space for an Outreach Center on our campus would be a perfect fit.”
