'Stork Lady' Goes Half-Price In Crestwood with Green Approach
Last day at the former Famous Barr-Macy's store.
Twice a year, the Stork Lady hosts a consignment sale with gently-used clothes, furniture and many, many other baby-friendly items over three days, at Crestwood mall.
Saturday is the last day—with most items half-price. It closes at 2pm.
Headquarters is the former Famous Barr-Macy's store.

Over 40,000 items are for sale this time, donated by 200-plus St. Louis families, according to Stork Lady herself, Cindy Staub.
The pop-up store uses extensive email networking to get the word out, according to Staub. The business operates in a very "green" fashion, in that it recycles baby-related items, and leaves a very small carbon footprint with its temporary store and Internet advertising.

The parking lot surrounding the store was jam-packed all day Thursday and Friday. Wednesday was a sale for donors, and the parking lot was also full.
Some shoppers in the parking lot said they stopped in because they saw all the cars outside the defunct former Macy's and wanted to see what was going on.
Items at the store are priced with barcoded tags. Customers pay once at checkout lanes in the front of the store.
