Kittens and Pups Need Homes—Need We Say More?

Quite a sweet collection is gathered at Crestwood's Animal Shelter. Please help.

The city of Crestwood is one of the few to have its own animal shelter, under the auspices of the Animal Control Department.

Aside from showing up when residents need help with wild or dead animals in the area, the department's shelter cares for pets.

And one of the best aspects is, if they find a lost pet or someone else does, it is brought to the nearby city shelter (in Whitecliff Park) and Animal Control tries to contact and find the owner.

The shelter keeps the pet until they hear from the owner.

Also, if someone must give up a pet, Crestwood's shelter accepts it, and keeps it until they find a new home for it.

And all the animals are doctored up and healthy before being placed for adoption.

Please look at the photos here. If adoption is not possible, please consider a donation. The shelter is all volunteers.

Only one Animal Control officer is a paid job.
