"Around 12:20 p.m. today, our School Resource Officer Paul Gordon received a call from St. Louis County Police notifying him of a domestic disturbance that had occurred in a neighborhood east of the high school campus. As a precaution, the decision was made to protect our students’ safety by locking the high school’s exterior doors and keeping students inside until the suspect was taken into police custody around 12:30 p.m. Lindbergh Early Childhood Education doors remain locked 24-7, and all students were safe inside the building. St. Louis County Police and a Lindbergh security officer also monitored campus parking lots during this time.
The suspect was never on or near school property at any time, and LHS and ECE students continued their normal classroom routines without disruption.
We would like to commend our Lindbergh students and staff for how quickly and professionally they responded to this situation. Fortunately, no immediate danger resulted from the search for this individual. However, we feel it is important to share this information with you, and assure you that our staff is prepared to protect your children at all times."
