New Resale Shop Coming to Crestwood
The store will help residents moving into Lutheran Senior Services get rid of unwanted household items.
The Crestwood Board of Aldermen approved a new resale shop on Watson Road on Tuesday evening.
Hidden Gems, 9051 Watson Rd., will be operated by Lutheran Senior Services. The resale shop will help those moving into LSS's housing to get rid of their unwanted items, said director of human resources Joy Brother. Profits will help LSS "assist clients, patients and residents who need financial assistance for their care," according to a call for store volunteers posted on Patch.
Approximately 75 percent of merchandise will be furniture and household items, with some clothing and accessories, she said. The project won’t require any building renovations.

The request passed unanimously, despite some flack at a previous board meeting about the quality of retail in the city.
