Sappington Students Help Nearby Food Banks

Students collected 90 boxes of food to donate to various food banks.

Students at Sappington Elementary School filled 90 boxes with canned food, boxed food and toiletries in February, according to a news release from the Lindbergh School District.

The goods collected by the school’s Character Club will be sent to 12 different food banks in Feburary.

“Everyone had a great time and they shared how our volunteer work has an immediate impact on the community,” said teacher Katherine Crawford, who coordinated the event.
