Sunset Hills Bank Potentially Changing its Lunch Menu in a Move to Watson Road
Regions bank in Sunset Hills is moving from Lindbergh to Watson Road, from next door to Burger King to next door to Denny's.
Regions bank, next to a Burger King fast food restaurant on Lindbergh Boulevard in Sunset Hills, is constructing a new building on Watson Road next door to Denny's restaurant, also in Sunset Hills.
While there's absolutely nothing official about bank lunches, the move could effect a big change of menu for employees from burgers to BLTs.
Otherwise, Regions bank representatives said in a city Board of Aldermen meeting they hoped to have a new building open in the 10450 area of Watson Road by September. Regions would close the branch on Lindbergh Boulevard—with an address of 10722 Sunset Hills Plaza.

The new bank site was an emptied strip mall between Denny's restaurant and Treppler Autobody, when it was bulldozed in April. It sits vacant and muddy now.
The proposed new bank-only building would have several drive-through banking lanes going along the side by Treppler Autobody. Owner John Treppler asked at a public meeting earlier this year whether there would be any space between his shop and the bank's driveways and proposed shrubbery.Â

The answer from the city appeared to be "no," because the approved site plan did not show any sort of easement there.
Treppler said it's been convenient for utility workers to access a huge box of circuitry at the back of the properties between the buildings. Residential property backs up to the line behind commercialized Watson Road at that spot.
Regions bank had an architectural firm explaining the building design and would expedite construction of it.
Recently, Regions bank contributed $1 million to help people in communities impacted by late April tornadoes—primarily in the corporate home state of Alabama, according to a statement on the bank's website from Grayson Hall, president and CEO of Regions Financial.
The bank is also accepting public donations for the American Red Cross Tornado Disaster Relief Fund at all of its banks in a 16-state region.
Regions said it is also supplying aid to those devastated by the storms with these:
- Special loan offers
- Waivers on penalties for CD withdrawals
- Deferred payments on various loans
- Discounts on new business loans
The bank has another program to assist customers who have difficulties with mortgage and loan payments by calling 1-800-REGIONS, contacting a branch office and www.regions.com/loanhelp
