Who's Serving Up Food at This Year's Route 66 Car Cruise?

Local organizations are providing the food and drinks for the Aug. 10 event.

There's more to this weekend's Route 66 Classic Car Cruise than a parade and vintage vehicles. The Aug. 10 event will include a performance by the Ralph Butler Band, children's activities, a bike decorating contest and, of course, food.

This year, Crestwood and Sunset Hills organizations are providing the snacks and drinks. Here are six groups who will be offering food at the event:

1. Knights of Columbus: hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwurst and brisket. Sno-cones will be available 2-5 p.m.
2. Marine Corps League: pulled pork sandwiches and chips
3. Kirkwood Lions Club: pretzels and popcorn
4. Crestwood-Sunset Hills Kiwanis Club: Ted Drewes frozen custard
5. Boy Scout Troop 331: sno-cones will be available 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
6. Crestwood-Sunset Hills Chamber of Commerce: soda and water
