Charter Communications to Open New Call Center in Bridgeton
Charter Communications plans to hire more than 400 people to work in the new facility which will bring its St. Louis area workforce to more than 2,900, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Charter Communications plans to open a call center at 13022 Hollenberg Drive in Bridgeton to house its internet and phone service repair call center.

The article states that Charter will hire more than 400 people to work in the 78,000-square-foot facility which used to be a Western Union call center. Ultimately, the communications company reportedly plans to for the building to be renovated so it can accommodate up to 800 employees.
As previously reported by Patch, this news comes after Charter's October announcement that the company was relocating its corporate headquarters from Town and Country to Connecticut. At the time of the announcement, Charter also said it would be hiring more call center and local employees.
Charter also hosted a job fair in January where it planned to hire approximately 100 employees, most of which would work in the call center located in Town and Country Commons, near the intersection of Highway 141 and Clayton Road.
Charter plans to occupy the building by January 2014, according to the Business Journal.
This new addition will bring the bring Charter’s total workforce in the area to more than 2,900, the article stated.
