Excessive Heat Warning Continues
Heat index values as high as 111 degrees expected today, according to the National Weather Service.
If you don't have to go out - stay in. And if you do have to go out, make sure you take the necessary precautions. The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued an excessive heat warning, which includes Town and Country and Manchester, that lasts through 7 p.m.
Temperatures today are expected to reach 98 degrees with heat index values as high as 111, according to the NWS. There is a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Tonight, there is a 40-percent chance of thunderstorms with a low of 76 expected.
