Parkway South Holds Naturalization Ceremony Wednesday

Parkway South High School will host a naturalization ceremony Wednesday where approximately 100 immigrants will be sworn in as U.S. citizens.

Parkway South High School will host a naturalization ceremony Wednesday where approximately 100 immigrants will be sworn in as U.S. citizens.

The annual ceremony takes place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Wednesday in the school gym.

The Honorable Kathy A. Surratt-States, United States Bankruptcy Court Judge, will be presiding, according to a Parkway news release. It also states Parkway’s Superintendent Dr. Keith Marty will be the event's guest speaker.

Students will attend the ceremony as part of learning the process of government, according to Parkway staff.
