American Red Cross Hosts Blood Drive Friday in U City
The American Red Cross will hold the blood drive at Centennial Commons, located at 7210 Olive Blvd., from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
According to the Red Cross, every minute of every day, someone needs blood.
That leaves local people wanting to help those in need with many chances to help bank blood, one of which is on Friday.
The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Centennial Commons, located at 7210 Olive Blvd., from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Century Rooms 1 and 2 will be dedicated to the drive.
Organizers do mention scheduling an appointment. Go to redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code: "Centcom" to do so. You can also contact Leslie Eutz at leutz@ucitymo.org or (314) 505-8617. A valid photo ID is required.
Currently only three out of every 100 people in America donate blood, according to the Red Cross, which states it is the nation’s largest blood collection organization, supplying more than 40 percent of the blood and blood products used in the U.S.
