Candidates Holding Pre-Primary Events This Weekend
Several candidates are planning events.
With Missouri's primary election coming up fast, candidates are planning last minute events across the region.Â
The primary election is Tuesday, Aug. 7.Â

John Brunner's campaign for the U.S. Senate will kick off the weekend Friday night with a rally at the campaign's Olive Boulevard headquarters in Creve Coeur, located near the AMC 16 Theatre.

The event is scheduled for 6 p.m to fire up supporters and encourage "Get Out The Vote" efforts.Â
Todd Akin
Another top-tier Republican in the field of eight candidates,  has been on what his campaign has called a "Leading With Courage" tour around the state.
He will be at the Sheraton Lakeside Chalet - Wesport Plaza at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3.
Investor Fred Sauer, a Republican candidate for governor, will be in Chesterfield from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
Sauer owns Orion Investment Company, according to the website, located at 7800 Forsyth in St. Louis.
