Film, VHS Tapes and Locker Mirrors: What Isn't Sales Tax Free This Weekend
Helpful information if you are buying school supplies, clothing or electronics as the kids head back to school.

Today marks the beginning ofΒ Missouri's back to school sales tax holidayΒ weekend. From Aug. 2-4, back to school purchases can be made free of Missouri state sales taxes.Β
You can find aΒ list of cities hereΒ that have opted out of participating in the tax-free weekend. The ciities of Clayton, Richmond Heights and University CityΒ are onΒ this list. This means state sales tax will still be waved at stores, butΒ city sales tax will still be collected.

Clothing, school supplies, computers and software are included in the holiday. There are several items however that do not fall under the sales tax holiday.Β
