Golf Tournament Will Benefit UCHS Seniors Headed For Mizzou
If you'd like to participate, the deadline to register is September 15.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO β Darren's Lions2Tigers, a nonprofit organization, will host its second annual golf tournament at Pevely Farms Golf Club on September 21, according to a news release. The event will begin with lunch at noon, and all proceeds will be used for scholarships to benefit University City High School seniors headed for the University of Missouri-Columbia (the Mizzou Tigers, hence the name Lions2Tigers).
The foundation was created to honor Darren Valeriote, who graduated from UCHS in 1988 and died in Februrary 2016, the new release said.
βDarren was so proud to be a U. City grad," said Chris Valeriote, Darren's older brother. "He developed a lot of friendships during his time at U. City that lasted his entire life and many of his UCHS friends attended Mizzou with him. It seemed like a natural transition to include Mizzou in the scholarship."
