On Thursday, 7-Eleven celebrates its 86th birthday by offering free 12-ounce Slurpees to customers at participating stores.
The promotion runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. This is the first year that 12-ounce cups will be served, according to a USA Today report. The convenience store has traditionally offered a 7.11-ounce up. Since 2002, millions of free Slurpee beverages have been given away.
But one warning if you want an icy treat: arrive early before limited supplies of the Slurpees run out.
