Local Artist Lizzie Weber Hosts CD Release at The Gramophone

Weber recorded her debut album at Brentwood's Sherpa Studios.

Lizzie Weber began playing the piano at age 11, and spent her teen years composing songs and learning how to play the guitar.

Her entry into the St. Louis music scene began when she and some Washington University college buddies created a St. Louis crime statistics rap song.

Admittedly not a rapper, Weber is releasing her debut album Wed., July 31 at The Gramophone, located at 4243 Manchester Avenue. The show starts at 8 p.m. and cover is $5.

Weber told The Riverfront Times her style is Judy Collins and Joan Baez inspired. A balladeer, she write said she writes personal, songs with a mix of pop and folk.

Weber's album consists of 10 songs recorded at Brentwood's Sherpa Studios. She raised funds for her studio time via Kickstarter.
