Long Acres Farmer's Market Has Watermelons

The market is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO β€” Long Acres Farmer's Market just received a shipment of watermelons, says University City resident Tom Sullivan. Located two blocks north of Delmar Boulevard, in the parking lot of All Saints Church, the market is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Long Acres moved from its longtime stand in the Delmar Loop two years ago, the Riverfront Times reported, after a "financial decision" by U. City landlord Dan Wald forced them to vacate. But they quickly found a new home at their current location.

"Support you local businesses β€” stop by the Long Acres Farmer's Market this weekend," Sullivan said in an email.
