Man Burglarized Three U City Homes Within Two Weeks, Police Say

University City Police said Randy T. Wilson stole tools and lawn equipment from area garages.

A resident is accused of three burglaries in University City within two weeks.

Randy T. Wilson, 54, of the 6500 block of Avalon Avenue in St. Louis, was charged Monday with three counts each of second-degree burglary and felony stealing.

University City Police said Wilson went into area garages and stole items:

  • Between 10 and 11 a.m. July 20, he entered a home in the 6500 block of Plymouth Avenue and stole a weedeater and a toolbox with numerous tools.
  • Between 7 p.m. July 15 and 2:30 p.m. July 18, he entered a home in the 6700 block of Chamberlain Avenue and stole a lawn mower, three belt sanders, a miter saw, two electric drills and three trowels.
  • Between 5:30 and 10 a.m. July 8, he entered another home in the 6500 block of Plymouth Avenue and stole a lawn mower, weed eater, toolbox with tools and a Fender guitar.

Bail has been set at $75,000, cash only for Wilson.
