U City Man Carried .38 cal Revolver in Pocket, Police Say

A University City man faces a firearm charge after being stopped by police June 30.

Landon Abrian Williamson, 21, of the 7100 block of Hazelwood Lane in U City, was charged July 1 with unlawful use of a weapon.

Police said an officer made a pedestrian stop while investigating a burglary in the area. When the officer asked if he had any firearms, Williamson said yes, police said. He had a .38 cal revolver in his front pants pocket, according to a court document.

Williamson posted 10 percent of an $8,000 bond and was released from jail July 2.
