Mt. Brentmoor: Guess When the Ice Mountain Will Melt
The mountain will be built today by residents of the Brentmoor Retirement Community.
Residents of , most of whom have grown weary of a summer sporting day after day of triple digit heat, have decided to fight back. They have muscled up against this brutally hot summer by declaring August 17 "Snow Day."
The residents will celebrate by erecting a mountain of ice in front of their building at 8600 Delmar Boulevard, University City, and encouraging visitors to guess the time and date the mountain, known as Mt. Brentmoor, will melt.
Persons taking a chance on the precise time and date Mt. Brentmoor will be gone will be asked to contribute $1 or more to Cool Down St. Louis. The winner will receive a “cool” prize.
