Shots from the first girls state track championship in University City history.
The  girls track team took first place overall Saturday in the Class 3 Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) state track and field championship.
UCHS finished with an overall score of 66 from 18 events. The top five finishers included U City, 66 points; , 53.5 points; Sullivan, 36; , 30; and Lutheran South, 29.
University City's Emmanuel Price also took first place in the state triple jump championship.

The events were held Saturday at Lincoln University in Jefferson City. The Lions pulled away from the rest of the crowd, and won by 12.5 points over Affton.
