Police ID Pedestrian Struck Friday on Skinker Blvd.

Police have identified the woman struck and killed early Friday morning on Skinker Blvd. as Charlotte Cunningham, 61.

KMOV reports that Cunningham was crossing the street in the 600 block of Skinker Boulevard around 6 a.m. when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.

The driver of the car that struck the woman stopped and was questioned by police, Fox 2 reported. Accident reconstruction crews also investigated the accident.

Dorchester resident Sara Mendelow told KMOV that with high pedestrian traffic and speeding cars, the street can be dangerous at certain times.
