Two new restaurants have opened in the Delmar Loop.
ChubbiesΒ opened Feb. 7 at 6227 Delmar Boulevard. The specialties of the house are burgers, wings and frozen custard.
The menu also includes cheesesteaks, soft drinks and beer.

The Riverfront Times noted in its review that Chubbies is part of a what has become a very busy block: It is located immediately next-door to the formerΒ Delmar Lounge, which will soon become Β Mission Taco Joint.

El Paisano Mexican Bar & Grill, part of the local chain of Mexican restaurants, openedΒ a new location at 5916 Delmar Boulevard. El Paisano resides in the formerΒ Twisted Olive.
Gut Check report's that the restaurant's Facebook pageΒ reportΒ its hours are 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.Β
Cookbook to Benefit Operation Food Search
Local foodies can make their favorite local restaurant recipes at home and help Operation Food Search, located in University City.
"St. Louis Chefs' Recipes," from theΒ publishers of St. Louis Magazine, is a collection of more than 170 soups, salads, entrees, drinks and desserts from 80 of the area's top restaurant chefs.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports the recipes are scaled down and tested to work in home kitchens. Ten percent of sales will be donated to Operation Food Search. $20.
