U City School Board to Set Tax Rate Tonight

The Board of Education for the School District of University City will meet at 5:45 p.m. tonight to set the district's tax rate.

The School District of University City is holding a special Board of Education meeting at 5:45 p.m. tonight to set the district's tax rate.

The board met last week for its regularly scheduled September meeting.

The 2012 operating tax revenue permitted is $25,572,978, up from $24,753,047 in 2011. The $819,931 increase is due in part to two factors:

  • Increase from new construction/personal property: $184,147
  • Increase from increasing tax rate: $635,784
