U City in Bloom Plant Sale Is April 27-28

The U City in Bloom annual plant sale is April 27-28.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, and from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, at the Heman Park Community Center.

The fundraising event is a significant source of income to U City in Bloom, contributing more than 80 percent of the group's fundraising budget.

This year the group will offer perennial plants, a large variety of annuals, native and wildlife attracting plants, culinary herbs and vegetables.

Resident experts also will be on hand to recommend native plants for any gardeners participating in the RainScape home gardening program.

U City in Bloom is a non-profit volunteer driven organization which maintains over 325 public garden locations and container gardens throughout University City.
