U City Man Sentenced on Crack Cocaine, Heroin Charges

Darius Harris faces 188 months in prison.

A University City man was sentenced today on crack cocaine and heroin charges, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Darius Harris was sentenced to 188 months in prison involving his distribution of crack cocaine and heroin between September 2010 and January 2011 in University City.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β 

According to court documents, Harris distributed the following drugs:

  • 23.9 grams of heroin for $1,150 on Sept. 29, 2010;Β 
  • 52.2 grams of crack cocaine for $1,600 on Oct. 6, 2010;Β 
  • 24.6 grams of heroin for $1,200 on Oct. 25, 2010;Β Β 
  • 25.5 grams of crack cocaine for $1,100 on Dec. 10, 2010; and
  • 23.2 grams of crack cocaine for $1,100 on Jan. 5, 2011,Β Β Β Β Β 

Harris, 44, University City, pled guilty in August to one felony count of conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute crack cocaine, and appeared today for sentencing before United States District Judge Henry Autrey.Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β 

This case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement AdministrationΒ (DEA) and the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department.
