U City Police: Dumpster Fire, Van Stolen

Each week, features a look at reports from the University City Police Department. Here is a look at the blotter from the week of May 20-26, 2013. 

The department arrested 65 adults and three juveniles. There was one report of arson and one motor vehicle theft.

Tuesday, May 21

• The reporting party stated person(s) unknown stole van overnight from the 500 block of Purdue. The vehicle was later recovered in St. Louis City with damage to the steering column. 
  

• Officers responded to a dumpster fire report in the 6700 block of Bartmer. The U City Fire Dept. was unable to locate a cause, but determined the fire was started possibly by kids.
