University City Library to Hold 'The Last Survivor' Screening

The University City Public Library will host a film screening of The Last Survivor at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, June 20. 

The documentary film is a production of Righteous Pictures, and it tells the story of “…four survivors of genocide and mass atrocities – Congo, Darfur, Rwanda and the Holocaust – as they rebuild their lives and become advocates for change,” accordign to a press release.   

A question-and-answer session will follow the film screening.   

The event is held in honor of World Refugee Day, a worldwide event sponsored by the United Nations and observed annually since 2001. 

This event will take place in the Library’s auditorium.  Refreshments will be served, and there is no charge for admission.
