University City Schools Get About 90 Transfer Students

More than 2,000 students from Riverview Gardens and Normandy school districts have decided to transfer out of the unaccredited education facilities.

The Cooperating School Districts (CSD) released preliminary figures showing a district by district breakdown ofΒ how many students have transferred from the Riverview Gardens and Normandy school districts, on late Tuesday.

In University City there is a total of 94 students placed at the schools. A little more than 300 students who did not get placed in their first, second or third choice districts are still in the process of getting placed, according to CSD.

Students attending University City schools are required to provide their own transportation.
