Update: Dropped Child Had Skull Fractures, Brain Swelling
The infant was dropped by his father, according to University City Police.

The University City man charged with first-degree assault for dropping his infant son has previously been charged with injuring one of his children.
According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Jeremy M.Β Giles was charged in Jefferson County with endangering the welfare of a child.Β
The Post reports that Giles' one-month-old son was hospitalized on Oct. 9, 2011, after suffering two black eyes and extensive bruising.
