Watch The April 9 University City Council Meeting

UNIVERSITY CITY, MO — The University City Council will meet in closed session at 5:30, followed by the usual public meeting at 6:30. Watch live on Facebook or right here on Patch. On tonight's agenda are the city manager's reports on a sidewalk and curb replacement project, a public art challenge sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies, and site review plans for 6200 Olive Blvd. and 6321 Cates Ave.
Three bills are also up for a vote. The first — Bill No. 9356 — will add three positions in the finance department to address shortcomings identified in a recent audit. The positions include an assistant finance director, who will be paid between $63,513 and $79,777 annually; a fleet manager ($49,273 to $63,383); and a sanitation superintendent ($57,739 to $72,525).
The second bill — No. 9357 — would allow a rights-of-way agreement between the city and MCImetro Access Transmission Services Corp. The third — Bill No. 9358 — would allow a rights-of-way agreement with XO Communications Services, LLC.
