Witness Saw Murder Victim 'Repeatedly Stabbed' With Large Knife, Police Say
A man has been charged in the Vinita Park murder.
A Vinita Park man was stabbed to death Wednesday in his home in the 8300 block of Monroe Street, just north of Olivette.
Vinita Park Police said in a report that Jarvis Simms, 28, was seen repeatedly stabbing the victim, Walter Scott, with a large bladed knife.
Simms has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. Police said in the probable cause statement that Simms stabbed Scott “after deliberation.”
