A judicial panel that is redrawing Missouri’s state legislative districts will give the public a chance to weigh in on the process.
Bipartisan commissions that were supposed to redraw the boundaries gave up earlier this year when they were unable to overcome differences. Missouri Supreme Court Chief Justice Richard Teitelman then appointed six judges from the Missouri Court of Appeals to do the job.
The process of redrawing the state’s 163 House districts and the 34 Senate districts must be undertaken every 10 years.
